The flight characteristics are convincing, the handling both in the air and on the ground is impressively simple. Thanks to the large tail unit and long fuselage, the AC4 UL is very stable in the air. In slow flight, the aircraft remains perfectly and easily controllable.

The flight performance corresponds to a good-natured and forgiving training platform, which is also ideal for use on short grass runways.

The robust, maintenance-free landing gear with large wheels has been perfectly tuned for unpaved grass runways as well as for rough training operations. It also handles harder landings without any problems.

The space in the cabin, with a width of 1.26m, is extremely generous. The luggage compartment behind the seats is very accessible and two large suitcases can be loaded easily. The central control stick also allows pilot bags to be placed in front of the two seats, which remain easily accessible during the flight.

And last but not least, thanks to the effective heating, the aircraft can also be used in winter.

The Rotax 912iS fuel-injected engine is economical, quiet and powerful, and the avionics are also the best currently available: the Kanardia NESIS III system - adapted to the AC4 - with radio and transponder from AirAvionics.
